#Skills For Life
PROVIDING SKILLS FOR LIFE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Our vision
By 2023 The Scouts will have prepared more young people with skills for life, supported by amazing leaders delivering an inspiring programme. We will be growing, more inclusive, shaped by young people and making a bigger impact in our communities.
We believe that skills for life can prepare better futures for:
-
Young people – by giving them the character, employability and practical skills they need to succeed
-
Volunteers – by equipping them with better skills, tools and support to deliver inspiring programmes
-
Society – by bringing people together and improving the lives of those in our communities.
East of England Scouting covers Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Each week we deliver programme activities to over 55,000 young people across the region to give them the Skills For Life to get on in life.
Programme
We have a fully searchable Programme Hub that anyone can use to select activities for all ages 6-18.
Join Us
We have volunteers who do many different types of support to Scouts. This can be Beaver leaders, treasurers, skill based such as kayakers and mountaineers.
